Parker Grego Cullen and Ball Solicitors and Barristers LLP was formed in 2007 with the merger of two separate practices, Parker and Grego Solicitors together with Cullen and Ball Solicitors.
Parker and Grego Solicitors was formed in the 1980’s by then partners Alan Parker and Kevin Grego. Although both Mr Parker and Mr Grego left the firm to pursue careers as barristers in independent practice, the firm continued to practice in this form up to its merger with Cullen and Ball in 2007 and during that time continued to be highly regarded firm of criminal defence lawyers
Gerard Cullen and Edward Ball qualified as solicitors with Parker and Grego and worked at this firm for many years until they themselves set up the firm of Cullen and Ball Solicitors in February 2004. As partners of this firm they expanded swiftly and themselves over the years have developed a reputation for excellence in the field of criminal defence work.
In June 2007, the two practices merged forces to create the firm that exists today and is now one of the pre eminent providers of criminal litigation and advocacy services in the Birmingham and wider West Midlands area.
Due to changes in the rules governing legal practice, Parker Grego Cullen and Ball are one of the first firms in the area to take advantage of the mixed practice rules and is now owned and run jointly between both practicing solicitors and barristers. This has allowed our firm to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for the provision of criminal litigation and advocacy services. Our solicitors and barristers are able to offer representation in the full range of criminal investigations and proceedings from the police station all the way up to the Court of Appeal.
